Overview

Safety doesn’t happen by accident; thus, it takes some time to learn first aid because it saves lives. First aid is not for specific people or careers but everyone and everywhere. You have witnessed various injuries, minor illnesses and situations that require a first aider or immediate attention before the arrival of a medical unit. Knowing how to handle an emergency can be satisfying and important for anyone. Providing a healthier and safer environment is the employer’s responsibility, but learning first aid at the workplace becomes a responsibility of every individual. ILC assists you by offering TQUK’s Level 3 Award Emergency First Aid at Work necessary for SIA. In 2021, First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) has made Emergency First Aid at Work necessary for Security Industry Authority license.

Besides SIA licensing requirements, Emergency First Aid at Work is for everyone, and every individual should be able to handle emergencies. Inspire London College is offering learners a golden opportunity for Level 3 Award Emergency First Aid at Work Training by considering the necessity of emergency first aid at work. Learners will have the knowledge and skills required to provide Emergency First Aid in an occupational setting in a prompt, safe and effective manner to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid Regulations. The qualification objectives include supporting a role in the workplace and giving learners personal growth and engagement in learning. The qualification is usually delivered as a one-day programme of training and assessment for learners in work or preparing to work to be first aiders in the workplace.

If used to meet HSE requirements, this qualification is valid for three years, after which learners will need to repeat the qualification. It is recommended that learners refresh their knowledge annually. The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) meets The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 regarding First Aid at Work.
