Learners studying for the Diploma in Health and Social Care will be expected to develop the following skills during the programme of study:

Requirements

For TQUK Level 2 Diploma in  Care, learners must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Qualifications at Level 1.
  • Work experience in the health and social care sector and demonstrate ambition with clear career goals.
  • Level 2 qualification in another discipline and want to develop their health and social care careers.
  • The learner must be aged 16 or above
  • Good understanding of ICT
  • Learners wishing to study and are non-native English speakers must have a minimum level of English language competency*
  • Sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment criteria

Assessment

TQUK Level 2 Diploma in Care is designed for an easy and smooth career progression for people working or interested in health and social care sector.
All units are internally assessed by Inspire London College and externally verified by Training Qualification UK. To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.
Assessments are divided into two categories; knowledge and demonstration.
For knowledge-based assessment criteria, learner will submit written responses; while for demonstration-based assessment criteria real-work assessment will be exercised.

Real-work assessments are to be performed via video conference. Learner is required to provide the duly signed consent form [Downloadable from college website] from the employer/service user/family of service user/supervisor/manager. Up to 3 video calls could be set up to have a holistic view of learner’s knowledge and abilities.

Video call could be setup on mediums like Zoom, Google meet, etc. Considering the aspect of person-centred care, all the real-work assessment criteria will be combined in one assignment; in order to promote service user’s dignity and respect.

Accreditation

This Qualification has been accredited to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and has its own unique Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN). This number will appear on the learner’s final certification document. Each unit with the Qualification has its own RQF code. The QAN for this Qualification is as follows:
