The Level 2 Diploma in Care is a qualification designed for individuals working in the healthcare and adult care sectors. The course aims to equip learners with the essential knowledge and skills required to work in various roles in health and adult care settings. The qualification is accredited by Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) and meets the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) requirements.
The course content is specifically linked to the knowledge and skills required for the Apprenticeship standards of Adult Care Workers and Healthcare Support Workers. Therefore, this diploma provides a solid foundation for learners who may wish to progress further in their careers through an apprenticeship program.
The Level 2 Diploma in Care covers various topics relevant to the healthcare and adult care sectors. These topics include understanding the role of a care worker, communication and interpersonal skills, duty of care, safeguarding and protection, health and safety, and promoting health and wellbeing. Learners will also understand how to provide person-centered care and support for individuals in various settings, such as care homes, hospitals, or the community.
The qualification suits individuals in various roles, such as adult care workers, healthcare assistants or support workers, and personal assistants. The course is designed to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of learners working in different settings. Additionally, this qualification can be studied part-time, allowing learners to continue working while they learn.
The TQUK Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF) is suitable for learners working in a wide range of roles in a health and adult care settings. The qualification develops competence therefore learners must be in paid or voluntary work to enable assessment to take place.

Learners are required to complete seventeen units to achieve the 46 credits required to gain the Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF).

TQUK Level 2 Diploma in Care is designed for an easy and smooth career progression for people working or interested in health and social care sector.
All units are internally assessed by Inspire London College and externally verified by Training Qualification UK. To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.
Assessments are divided into two categories; knowledge and demonstration.
For knowledge-based assessment criteria, learner will submit written responses; while for demonstration-based assessment criteria real-work assessment will be exercised.
Real-work assessments are to be performed via video conference. Learner is required to provide the duly signed consent form [Downloadable from college website] from the employer/service user/family of service user/supervisor/manager. Up to 3 video calls could be set up to have a holistic view of learner’s knowledge and abilities.
Video call could be setup on mediums like Zoom, Google meet, etc. Considering the aspect of person-centred care, all the real-work assessment criteria will be combined in one assignment; in order to promote service user’s dignity and respect.
This Qualification has been accredited to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and has its own unique Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN). This number will appear on the learner’s final certification document. Each unit with the Qualification has its own RQF code. The QAN for this Qualification is as follows:

TQUK is an Ofqual-regulated Awarding Organisation, providing a wide range of vocational qualifications to FE Colleges and private training providers.
TQUK is an Awarding Organisation recognised by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England, CCEA Regulation in Northern Ireland and by Qualifications Wales. TQUK offers qualifications regulated by Ofqual and, in some cases, by CCEA Regulation and/or Qualifications Wales, which sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and are listed on the Register of Regulated Qualifications.
Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will get an Ofqual Regulated Certificate (Hardcopy) from TQUK, an Ofqual Regulated Awarding Organisation.
