The Care Certificate is a nationally agreed set of standards that detail the learning outcomes and
requirements that health and social care support workers are expected to be trained in before they
can work unsupervised.
The Care Certificate ensures that all health and social care professionals have a consistent set of
introductory skills, behaviours, and knowledge, enabling them to provide high-quality,
compassionate care and support, and to understand their roles within their specific workplace
settings.
This online training program offers a collection of Interactive courses that will provide you with the
knowledge components needed to complete the Care Certificate.
You will learn about the theory and skills that you need to demonstrate when you are being assessed
for the Care Certificate, and will learn how to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. To fully
implement the learning outcomes of the certificate, your employer must also assess your skills
practically in your workplace against the Care Certificate Standards.

This course is ideal for newly hired health and social care professionals who need to develop essential skills and knowledge before working unsupervised. It is designed to ensure a consistent standard of care by providing fundamental training in key areas such as person-centred care, safeguarding, communication, and health and safety. Whether you are starting a new role or looking to enhance your understanding of care standards, this course will equip you with the confidence and competence to deliver high-quality, compassionate support.
The total duration of course video content is 17 hours, it does not include the time taken to read, analyse and attempt the quiz or conduct any other research.
Learner can access the Learning Platform 24/7. The time period to complete the course depends on the learner’s pace and the time dedicated for training. Though the course is self-paced, but learner will be given maximum period of 12 Months from the date of enrolment. Learner may request for extension but, ILC holds the right to close/lock the course after completion of 12 Months.
After successful enrolment, the learner will get access to the Learning Platform, where the training material is available. The training is in the video format, and each module consist of many videos.
Each module is followed by a 3-5 Multiple Choice Questions. You will have the option to review the video content as often you like, and submit the test once you are satisfied with the answers. The minimum pass score is 70% and you will have 3 attempts to pass test for each module. But, if in any condition, you cannot pass in three attempts, you can request 3 more attempts for all modules, after which all modules will be locked.
