The NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safe Handling of Medicines is a 14 credit qualification with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 140 hours including 120 Guided Learning Hours (GLH). Learners must achieve all 14 credits from the four mandatory components.

It is particularly beneficial for care workers, support workers, or healthcare assistants aiming to deepen their knowledge of safe medicine handling.
This is a knowledge-based course, and learners will submit written assignments for each unit to complete this course. To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.
The Assessor judges that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria
NOCN is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). Ofqual is responsible for maintaining standards and confidence in a wide range of vocational qualifications, whereas NOCN has a duty of care to implement quality assurance processes.
Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will receive an Ofqual-regulated certificate (soft copy/scanned version) issued by NOCN, which is included in the course price.
If you require a hard copy certificate, an additional fee of £25 will apply. This covers standard postal charges.
For faster delivery, you may choose to have your certificate and transcript sent via special courier (e.g., DHL). This service incurs an additional cost of £40, which applies primarily to international deliveries.
