It provides essential knowledge for supporting people living with dementia, including person-centred care, communication, activities, and medication management.

Achievement of this qualification confirms the learner has gained the knowledge and skills required to:

• Healthcare assistant
• Nursing assistant
• Support worker (care homes or domestic settings)
• Mental health support worker
•  Progress to further study.

The NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Dementia Care (RQF) carries the Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN): 610/3187/2, shown on the final certificate. Learners can verify this qualification on the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications for verification and further details.

This qualification is accredited by NOCN Qualifications, an Ofqual-approved and regulated awarding body (RN5194). Upon successfully completing the course, learners receive an Ofqual-regulated certificate issued by NOCN, included in the course price as a soft copy or scanned version. If a hard copy certificate is required, an additional £25 covers standard postage. For faster delivery, particularly for international learners, certificates and transcripts can be sent via special courier (e.g., DHL) for an extra £40.
