Requirements

To enrol on the iCQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, learners must meet the following criteria:

  • Learners must be 19 years of age or above.
  • There are no formal academic entry requirements, but learners should have relevant knowledge or experience in adult care.
  • Learners should be working in, or have access to, a leadership or management role within an adult care setting, as the qualification is competence-based.
  • A good standard of English and ICT skills is required to complete written assessments and maintain a portfolio of evidence.
  • Learners must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet the learning and assessment requirements at Level 5.
  • Non-native English speakers must provide evidence of appropriate English language competence*

Who is This Course For?

All units within the iCQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care are internally assessed by  Inspire London College and externally verified by iCQ to ensure quality and consistency. Assessment is completed through a portfolio of evidence, allowing learners to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding, and leadership skills in line with required standards.

This qualification uses a combination of competence-based and knowledge-based assessment methods. Competence-based assessment takes place in the workplace and may include direct observation, professional discussions, reflective accounts, work products, and witness testimony. Knowledge-based assessment is demonstrated through written assignments. To achieve a pass, learners must meet all learning outcomes and assessment criteria, enabling them to apply leadership theory to real adult care practice.

Certification

Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will receive an Ofqual-regulated certificate (soft copy/scanned version) issued by iCQ Awards, which is included in the course price.
