This course will look at supervising stress and mental health at work and show you how to create a good mental health culture. The course starts by examining the adverse effects of poor mental health on individuals and also considers the benefits of mental health interventions by employers. You will also be introduced to positive mental health, look at the impact of stress on staff and choose appropriate ways of defusing its effects.
This Supervising Mental Health at work course teaches you six main areas that can lead to work-related stress and discover how to recognise when individuals and the whole team are under pressure. Organisations are legally bound to assess health risks from stress at work. We will show how to access those risks and recruit and train mental health first aiders. In this course, you will also learn how to create a good mental health culture within your workplace and conduct a mental health Audit and produce a mental health policy and Action plan. Finally, you will learn many proven ways to promote good mental health culture within your organisation/workplace. This unique course has been designed and developed by a specialist who has been in the business for years.
In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of supervising mental health at work and strategies for promoting positive mental health within your work culture and its implementation.
What will you learn in this course?
During this course, you will learn how identifying the signs of poor mental health among your staff can help to prevent relapse and encourage wellness and recovery. You will also be able to identify the fundamental causes of poor mental health in the workplace and strategies for supporting those experiencing poor mental health. Lastly, you will learn about long-term strategies for managing poor mental health at work (e.g., including ongoing conversations such as problem-solving and goal-setting to address poor mental health issues).

This course is intended for supervisors/managers who work in organisations with many employees and are responsible for overall job performance. It is also ideal for supervisors/managers dealing with chronic stress and burnout.
The total duration of supervising mental health at work – video content is 25 Minutes; it does not include the time taken to read, analyse and attempt the quiz or conduct any other research.
Learners can access the Learning Platform 24/7. The time to complete the course depends on the learner’s pace and the time dedicated to training. Though the course is self-paced, the learner will be given a maximum period of 12 Months from the date of enrolment. Learners may request an extension, but ILC holds the right to close/lock the course after the completion of 12 Months.
After successful enrolment, the learner will get access to the Learning Platform, where the training material is available. The training is in video format, and each module has many videos.
Each module is followed by 3-5 Multiple Choice Questions. You can review the video content as often as you like and submit the test once you are satisfied with the answers. The minimum pass score is 80%, and you will have 3 attempts to pass the test for each module. But, if in any condition you cannot pass in three attempts, you can request 3 more attempts for all modules, after which all modules will be locked.
The courses offered by Inspire London College are approved and accredited by The CPD Certification Services and different organisations in specific field including IIRSM (International Institute of Risk and Safety Management), IATP (Independent Asbestos Training Providers), and IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers).
