Course Outline

The OTHM Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement consists of 2 mandatory units for a combined total of 10 credits, 100 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 54 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

The Total Qualification Time (TQT) for this qualification is 150 hours while 84 Guided Learning hours (GLH) are required to complete this qualification.

Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements OTHM Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement ; however learners should have;

  • A minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
  • The qualification is suitable for learners of 19 years of age and above.

Who is This Course For?

This qualification is suitable for those who work within any sector where assessment forms part of the education and training cycle. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their competence in assessing vocational achievement.

Assessment

The units in this qualification are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.

To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor.

The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.

Specific assessment guidance and relevant marking criteria for each unit are made available in the Assignment Brief document. These are made available to centers immediately after registration of one or more learners.
