The OTHM Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement is specifically designed for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding in training environments such as classrooms, workshops, or other simulated settings, rather than assessing occupational competence in the workplace. The aim of this course is to provide learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to carry out assessments effectively in a variety of vocational contexts.
This qualification allows learners to progress into employment or achieve further professional growth within their current role. Upon successful completion, learners can advance to higher-level qualifications, such as the OTHM Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, building on their expertise and opening doors to greater career opportunities.
The OTHM Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement consists of 2 mandatory units for a combined total of 10 credits, 100 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 54 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

The Total Qualification Time (TQT) for this qualification is 150 hours while 84 Guided Learning hours (GLH) are required to complete this qualification.

This qualification is suitable for those who work within any sector where assessment forms part of the education and training cycle. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their competence in assessing vocational achievement.
The units in this qualification are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor.
The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.
Specific assessment guidance and relevant marking criteria for each unit are made available in the Assignment Brief document. These are made available to centers immediately after registration of one or more learners.

OTHM has a progression arrangement with several UK universities that acknowledges learners’ ability after studying Level 3-7 qualifications to be considered for advanced entry into corresponding degree year/top-up and Master’s/top-up programmes.
OTHM Qualifications (Awarding Body) only issues verifiable certificates and Transcripts electronically and securely in PDF format (without additional charges).
Hard Copy and Transcript is not included in the course fee. If you want a hard copy of the Certificate and Transcript, you can order it directly from Awarding Body OTHM using self-service e certificate & transcript portal and completing the registration process. The hard copy certificate will cost you £30 plus charges for your preferred shipping option to your location.
