The TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) is suitable for learners working in a wide range of roles in a health and adult care settings. The course is accredited by Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) and meets the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) requirements. The qualification develops competence therefore learners must be in paid or voluntary work to enable assessment to take place.

Level 3 Diploma in Adult care is designed to support learners in their roles in the workplace and enable them to progress to higher-level qualifications in the same subject area. The course covers a range of topics, including person-centred care, communication, safeguarding, health and safety, and working with other healthcare and social care professionals.

Learners are required achieve the 58 credits required to gain the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) 14 mandatory units will count for 39 credits and additional 19 credits must be achieved from optional units.

Requirements

TQUK – Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care learners must fulfil the following requirements.

  • Learner must be aged 18 or above.
  • Good understanding of ICT.
  • For learners wishing to study and are non-native English speakers, they must have a minimum level of English language competency*.
  • Sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment criteria.

Who is This Course For?

TQUK Level 3 Diploma is a qualification that aims to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies of learners working in various roles in the health and social care sector.

It is envisaged that the qualification will encourage academic and professional development so that learners can move forward to realise their own potential and that of organisations across a broad range of sectors.

Achievement of this qualification confirms the learner has gained the knowledge and skills required to:

  • Gain employment as a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker or Adult Care Worker/Assistant
  • Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (RQF).

Assessment

TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is designed for an easy and smooth career progression for people working or interested in health and social care sector. All units are internally assessed by Inspire London College and externally verified by Training Qualification UK. To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.

The qualification develops competence therefore learners must be in paid or voluntary work to enable assessment to take place. Assessments are divided into two categories; knowledge and understanding, and demonstration of practical skills.

For knowledge-based assessment criteria, learner will submit written assignment; while for demonstration-based assessment criteria real-work assessment will be exercised.

Considering that qualification requires assessment of both competence and knowledge, the blend of following assessment methods will be used to assess
TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF).

  • Written assignments and coursework
  • Having a manager or colleague complete a witness testimony of tasks completed in a workplace
  • Direct observations of you carrying out work-related tasks*
  • Professional discussions over the phone
  • Providing work product evidence

* The assessor will visit your workplace for observation as and if required. The fee for each visit will be £120, additional to the fee of Diploma course.

Accreditation

This Qualification has been accredited to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and has its own unique Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN). This number will appear on the learner’s final certification document. Each unit with the Qualification has its own RQF code. The QAN for this Qualification is as follows:

Certification
