I do remember all of Christmas, all the happiness and sorrows. This couldn’t be true and relatable for all, but I pack some memories that are not worth carrying. It was Christmas evening; trees decorated, lights twinkling, people enjoying laughter and joys, and everything was at peace. Then an accident happened; my mother somehow couldn’t maintain her balance and fell from the stairs. She was moaning with pain, not able to move her leg; probably, it was fractured. Me, my husband, siblings, and relatives gathered around her, not knowing that what to do. It was the time when Care at Christmas was making sense for us. She was screaming for help, but unfortunately, we were just stunned. We were not able to do anything, not because we did not want to; instead, we thought that we might harm her because we lacked health and social care skills. The subsequent Christmas went very well; no accident ever happened again. The key joy for me was that I cared for my mother; she was there with us every Christmas, and she was happy. I don’t know how to communicate this to you, but it was the best gift that I gifted myself; the healthcare assistant skills are far better than everything, yes, even better than chocolates. I am a chocolate lover, though.
