Requirements

To enrol on the iCQ Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF), learners must meet the following criteria:

  • Learners must be aged 19 years or above.
  • There are no formal academic entry requirements; however, learners should have a minimum Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
  • This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding in settings other than the workplace, such as workshops, classrooms, or other training environments.
  • A good understanding of ICT is recommended to support online learning and assignment submission.
  • Non-native English speakers must demonstrate an appropriate level of English language competency*.

Assessment

All units within the iCQ Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) are internally assessed by Inspire London College and externally verified by iCQ to ensure quality, consistency, and fairness. Assessment methods include coursework, e-assessment, oral examination, portfolio of evidence, practical demonstration, task-based, and controlled assessments, allowing learners to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in multiple ways.

This qualification combines competence-based and knowledge-based assessment. Competence-based assessment is carried out in the workplace, assessing occupational competence, while knowledge-based assessment evaluates vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding in settings such as classrooms, workshops, or other training environments. Learners must provide sufficient evidence to meet all learning outcomes and assessment criteria, ensuring they can apply theory and practice confidently in real-world settings.

The iCQ Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) is a fully accredited qualification regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). Ofqual regulation ensures that the qualification meets national standards, maintains credibility, and delivers consistent, high-quality learning outcomes.

iCQ is an awarding body approved and regulated by Ofqual (Reference Number RN5325), and this qualification holds the Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN): 600/3106/2, confirming its official recognition in England. Certification

Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will receive an Ofqual-regulated certificate (soft copy/scanned version) issued by iCQ Awards, which is included in the course price.

If you require a hard copy certificate, an additional fee of £25 will apply. This covers standard postal charges.

For faster delivery, you may choose to have your certificate and transcript sent via special courier (e.g., DHL). This service incurs an additional cost of £40, which applies primarily to international deliveries.
